CRBN Tru Foam Genesis
CRBN Tru Foam Genesis
Key Features of the CRBN TruFoam Genesis (TFG):
-
The 1st ‘Gen-4’ Pickleball Paddle
-
We consider this type of paddle to be ‘Gen-4’.
-
TruFoam Genesis breaks new ground as the first tournament-approved performance paddle with a 100% foam core. By engineering an entirely new core technology that eliminates the need for outdated materials, Gen-4 boosts strength and performance, setting a new standard and paving the way for future innovations in foam-only paddle technology from CRBN and other manufacturers.
-
To ensure we’re on the same page, here is how we’re classifying paddles:
-
Gen-1: Cold-pressed honeycomb polypropylene paddles.
-
Gen-2: Hot-pressed thermoformed honeycomb polypropylene paddles.
-
Gen-3: Foam-enhanced paddles with foam injected, inserted, or adhered to other internal core materials (like honeycomb, ribs, stringers, etc.).
-
Gen-4: 100% foam core
-
Unmatched Durability & Consistency:
-
Wave goodbye to core crush. Our patent-pending TFG cores are engineered for strength and the properties of the foam make it so it won’t crush like previous generations of paddles.
-
We decided to throw out the traditional approach to paddle design and created a completely different core technology. By starting from scratch, we overcame the limitations of existing materials and developed a unique blend that’s far more durable than honeycomb or any other paddle on the market.
-
We see a “break-in period” as a design flaw, not a feature. The TFG performs exceptionally from day one—and stays consistent. By engineering a core without the need for additional stabilizers or components like honeycomb or stringers, we eliminate weak points where materials could separate or settle, ensuring reliable performance over time.
-
Spin & Dwell:
-
We know every paddle brand claims to deliver great spin… but with the TFG, it’s the real deal. Generating spin isn’t just about surface roughness. We feel the core is even more important. Our core was engineered to maximize dwell time and flex, replicating the dynamics of a tennis racket. You’re going to love how much shape you can put on the ball.
-
Balanced Power:
-
We’ll be the first to say this isn’t the most powerful paddle on the market—and that’s intentional. The TFG offers more power than our X Series, earning its place as a ‘Power Paddle,’ but it’s not off the charts like some from other brands. Uncontrollable power doesn’t help most players win more matches, and it won’t be a long-term option as USAPA and UPA-A look to rein in the outliers in 2025.
-
We designed the TFG to comply with current and future paddle regulations, and we created a paddle that helps you improve your entire game. The TFG strikes the perfect balance of all the key paddle attributes
-
In the future, we may choose to design different paddles to maximize certain attributes for players that want specialization, but we purposefully wanted TFG to be the most well-rounded high-performance paddle on the market.
-
Thickness Simplicity:
-
Gone are the days of trying to decide between 12mm, 14mm, and 16mm paddles. With our TFG core technology, there’s no reason to have cores of different thicknesses.
-
Previous paddle generations had to rely on core thickness to balance power and control due to the limitations of manipulating honeycomb polypropylene.
-
In our Genesis core and all future TruFoam Series iterations, we have the ability to customize the performance of the core on a granular level. We can adjust the foam density and structure to meet whatever power/control specifications we desire. We’ve chosen a 14mm thickness and plan to stick to that for now and fine-tune the playstyle internally.
-
Paddle Face:
-
Our TFG features a unique T700 raw carbon fiber layup unlike any other paddle out there including our own X and Classic Series paddles.
An added layer of fiberglass is included for strength and performance.
